Are we allowed to say merry Christmas these days? Or is happy holidays the proper term?

Happy Christmas.

That's the whole thing to me, some people cannot just take a kind gestured merry Christmas (not you zero_hour) as a have a good, happy, fun  peace-loving time this time of year, no matter what you believe. Enjoy yourself is the main idea behind the good wishes.

Did i turn this into a politics section thread?

Perhaps, but you could save money on ink because it would just be a white peice of paper. Simple black text. Some folk might think that various graphics look like Jewish Hanakah symbols, or red might symbolize Christmas, or the bomb on the back might symbolize extremeist islamists last day of school or something. So a simple white card with black text should do just fine.

Actually I will be saying merry Christmas as I DO believe the Christmas message. (not the santa thing) Sorry, not trying to get this shoved into P&R.

I try to wish people a Merry Christmas but they usually respond negatively.  I mean, I'm just there to spread a message of holiday good will and they keep yelling things like "come back with my purse" and "put some pants on pervert".

Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.
