engineer strikes back
« on: November 12, 2006, 06:44:37 pm »
probably the wrong forum but what the hell its a monitor problem.anyone who has ever worked in the operation of arcades knows you get a bit of vandalism from time to time, just want to let everyone know i caught a guy today(drunk)break the screen of a club kart(rptv),i called security and the guy is now under arrest for criminal damage,we have told the police we will not press charges if the guy pays 500 euros(about 500 dollars)in cash for the damage and the funny thing is he is english and cannot leave spain until the damages are payed for :laugh2:,now who's looking tough infront of their stupid friends.
should have seen his face when the security guards turned up with guns(they don't have guns in the u.k,only flower petals)
but the thing that really screwed him was the fact i'm british but did not let on,so when he called me a ******* spanish ******** and he was gonna kill me and my family i could perfectly translate this for my spanish buddy"s,ahh sweet revenge

Speaking of jerk...

What, an operator can't expect a vandal to pony up money for repairs?  Eh?

Good for you grant.

I'd like to know at what point it became ok to destroy arcade equipment?  Sure, when I was a kid we were rough on the stuff, but nothing like I see today.   A couple of months ago we had a crane tipped over, all the glass smashed out of it and the whole thing emptied.  Earlier in the summer we had the entire front panel of a game kicked in and the whole over/under coin door/box assembly stolen.

Geez....

You actually support some ---uvula--- coming in and destroying property?  Give me a break.

I've never operated an arcade for profit, but I do have a lot of personal machines. One time, a guy got mad after losing a game and punched the screen. I had to pull a punch mid-swing because I instinctively threw a fist at his face.

robot 8319 has obviously never spent two days making a machine look great just for some total loser to come along and mess it up,this only the second time i have caught someone red handed and if you do nothing then it keeps happening.i have spent a year getting my arcade looking great and no one is gonna mess it up and yes btw i did give myself a pat on the back and had two cups of tea :applaud:

Just wait til someone abuses his equipment - his own personal property.

So, let me get this straight.  You buy a new car, just get done washing and waxing it.
Someone comes along and throws rocks at it, your going to be ok with that ?  You
either have alot of money or short on brains.
