I think its ok...
its really a next gen Splatterhouse

its controlls are more Ghost Recon than Rainbow Six.
im partial to the A button thing. I much prefer the queeze left trigger to pull cover and use the stick to look over and around it. I find the use of the "A" button for pulling cover/running/diving unintuitive.
I love the music. i like how it crescendos with the action, and gives you an audio que of when you can basically let go of the trigger when an engagement ends as well.
i didnt find the weapons terrible inspiring. Mindy you ,The grenades are very satisfying, but i found the weapons themselves lacking balls. I didnt find the "cartoony" rifle to either sound or "feel" heavy and real.. After playing Rainbow six vegas , Gow lacks the percussive element that made those weapons sound and feel so real. the majority of GOWs weapons sound downright wimpy in comaprison.
The hammer of dawn

, i think they had a great chance to do something way over the top and really fell short on scope and imagination. The hammer should have been something much more awegazing. Its not a very impressive weapons in presenation, either visually or audibly.
