AtomicFE and CPV2
« on: November 08, 2006, 02:04:11 pm »
The last day or so I worked with Youki to verify CPV2 works with AtomicFE. The good news is that it does. He ask me to post setup instructions so here goes.

Download and install AtomicFE and configure it for Mame as per its instructions.
Download, install and configure CPV2 as per its instructions
Launch AtomicManager
Open your cfg file
Click on Advanced Options
Click on External Commands

You now have two options, Automatic or User Options

The proper commandline syntax is:
c:\cpv2\cpv2.exe -r=[ROMNAME]

Check the appropriate boxes.
Save the CFG

If you set it up on the User Actions tab (hotkeyable) you then need to launch the AtomicKeys GUI and configure your hotkeys to call the application.

Enjoy,
John

Nice!

I'll make sure to add this to the AtomicFE documentation. Thanks!

Does that mean you can launch this when you hit your 'pause' key?

No it doesn't. However, it is probably do-able using an AHK script. I know I had the old CPViewer working by copying what Howard was doing in his AHK script for Johnny5.

Good Luck,
John

You mean the "pause" key on the keyboard?

If yes,  yes i think it should work. Just configure the "Pause" key as a custom key in AtomicFE.
