ATI 7500 and Composite TV - help!

Here's my dilemma:

The picture on my TV is slightly rotated clock-wise.  There are no options from within the ATI driver setup that let me rotate it counter clockwise (like can be done on a PC monitor) so that everything lines up nice.  I can reposition the pictures horizontally and vertically, as well as stretch it.  But no rotation option!  It's driving me nuts.  If I could rotate the picture like 2 degrees counter clockwise, I'd be fine!  Anyone else have this problem or heard anything similar?

A similar dilemma,

OK, here's my setup: AMD Duron, ATI (Powered By) 7500,  SVideo, NEC FS6835S TV.
Win ME, Mame32066, GameLauncher FE. - Everything running fine. Looks Sweet.

I purchase a new TV (Sharp CX68K5X) , change nothing else - screen rotated few degrees.

No idea what I've done, or how to fix it.

If you have had any luck with your dilemma please let me know........

PS, The new TV is a litlle larger than the NEC, maybe I have done something to the cabling
in the cabinet, while tryiing to fit the new TV.  I'll go check all the cabling and let you know
if I have any success. - Cant think why all of a sudden (new Tv) should make a difference
to the video signal from the PC or the way it is interpreted by the TV.

That's very weird.  PC monitors have the option to rotate picture.  I thought the TV-out options of the ATI would have that option too - not so much.  I'll check with the manufacturer of my TV and see if there's an option in the TV itself.  I don't think cabling should make any difference.

I'm using a (built by) ati radeon 7500 all-in-wonder with composite out. No rotation problem. I just re-installed it today after a few weeks of being in the shop, but I didn't have that p[roblem before either.
I'll poke around thru the display/advanced settings and see if I can find anything

Are you running a monitor also?
I did a fresh windows98 install with jsut the TV connected and it went flawlessly. I know before I was using a monitor for the main display and tv for extended desktop and had some minor alignment problems, but they were size & stretching related and not rotating

The one thing I didn't mention was the configuration of my cabinet.
I have two 6 x 9 car speakers installed in my cabinet just above my
TV. (Big Magnets).  So, after work, I remove said Big Magnets.
Presto, rotation/tilt gone...perfect picture on TV.

I bought some TDK computer desktop speakers with subwoofer and replaced
the 6 x 9 car speakers and all is OK.  (The TDK speakers are magnetically shielded
so that they can be placed close to a computer monitor).

Odonadon: not sure what type of configuration you are running, but for me
it certainly was an external magnetic field that was wreaking havoc on the
TV.  Not sure why that was the  case only for the new Sharp TV and not the NEC
TV.......but its fixed....hope you can do the same

Hey, thanks for the link!  That might be the problem.   I might end up just returning the TV for another model, just to make sure it's not my current TV.

i have an ATI 7500 (built by ATI), but haven't tried composite...s-video is fine though

maybe a daft question, but, have you tried connecting anything else to the TV via composite (VCR, games console etc) to make sure it's not yer TV that has the problem?

ps, one telltale sign that speaker magnets may be messing yer display is slight colour changing on the screen (nearest the speaker/magnet) - I used to sit a 5.1 center speaker on top of my monitor and didn't notice the dodgy colours for ages...thought my monitor had borked, but removing the speaker sorted it
