Squiggly Lines caused by bad resolution?

hey guys
when playing certain games on my arcade monitor i get really fast squiggly lines.. would this be a sign of a bad resolution or something else? i ran the auto res tool, but didnt seem to do much :/ when i play it on my computer monitor its fine.

Im running mame .109

any help would be most appreciated! thanks!

Yes you need to change the resolution.  (Probably increase it).  You should remove that res from the auto res tool and regenerate the ini files.
