Can the PC golf games like links & tiger wood be configured to play on an arcade cabinet like Golden Tee can?

I have Tiger Woods 2003 and the PC version of Golden Tee in my cab and they work just fine. I use them with a Wico trackball and 2 mouse buttons for the trackball.  I did not find any way to remap the 2 mouse buttons but since they are mounted close to the trackball it was no problem.

Ok, well cool.  Is the game play the same?  I haven't played GT in the longest time.  I had the chance tonight, but it was $4 for 18 holes.  I guess thats more than I am willing to pay.  I guess thats my biggest question...  For those that have golf games, in a cab', is the game play _all_that_much_different?

There are two types of golf games that use trackball, Golden Tee and Lunks style (actually it's PGA 2000 style!).  Golden Tee is push up on the trackball as hard as possible.  Links style is to swing with continuity and grace.  You can swing too hard.

Not considering the old Golden Tee Golf, is there a PC game that plays the same as the GT arcade games.  I am looking for some updated graphics

On both Goldentee for the PC and Tiger Woods 2003 the feel of play with the trackball is in the same style of the arcade games.  You pull back for the backswing and push forward for the swing.  Your angle determines the direction of the ball.

I just got Golden Tee for the PC and it is almost exactly like the Arcade versions. What a blast to play. :)

I have Golden Tee, Tiger Woods 2003, and Links 2003...  All work great with the trackball.  Links 2003 has the best graphics, and a feature called "Tru-Swing" which allows you to pull back on the trackball, and push it to swing.  It also shows you a close up where the club head hits the ball.  Very realistic.

Does Tiger Woods 2002 work with a trackball like Golden Tee?
