Other Emulators?
« on: October 31, 2006, 02:47:46 pm »
Hey guys-
I would like some advice as to which emulator is the best to run. I want to run Nintendo games- mainly, Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, etc etc etc on my cab. I am running XP Home, with all arcade controls. Can you suggest which emulator would be best to run?  Oh- this machine is also running MAME.  OH- lastly, any specific FE I should go with that would run both MAME and this Nintendo Emulator?
Thanks

Well just a note... the games you mentioned are emulated in mame, or at least their near-identical arcade counterparts are.  They are called "Vs" games (Vs Super Mario Bros, Vs Duck Hunt, ect..).

Almost all nes emulators work well and they all have command-line support, just pick one you like.

I think most of the more recent FE's will allow you to switch emulators nice and easily.  I've used both MameWAH and Mala for this and both work just fine.

Hi,

As said Stobe, almost all recent Fe can do that.

My FE have Plug'n play modules for about 40 machines  (including Arcade  ,Super Nintendo /Super Famicom, Nintendo NES/Famicom)  , you have just to install AtomicFE, the modules you want  and copy roms in your folder.

No configuration is required to be able to play.

then You can , if you want, customize as you like.
