Just installed my new D9200 -- A Few Questions
« on: March 25, 2003, 01:52:31 pm »
Hey Folks! I just installed my new 27D9200. The installation was quite simple and only required one modification to my Dynamo 25" cabinet. The difference between the D9200 and my old K7000 is astounding -- the brightness and clarity of the D9200 are fantastic (and I will post some comparison pics soon). I do have a few questions though. First, here is my current config:

Windows XP Pro
AdvanceMenu/AdvanceMAME
ATI Radeon 7500

My questions are:
-What monitor driver are folks using? Windows XP defaulted to the standard Plug and Play Monitor Driver. This appears to be OK; however, I'm just curious what other people are using.
-I've read that the D9200 is capable of doing 800x600. I was able to get Windows to display at 800x600 in 16, 24, and 32 bit color. However, when I started Golden Tee Golf in 800x600 mode, the monitor displayed the 'Signal Out of Range' message. Any idea why?
-This seems like a really stupid question, but what are folks doing to power up/power down the monitor. My old monitor relied on an external power supply which had a switch. However, the D9200 has a straight plug with no power switch. I suppose that I could use the switch on the power strip inside the cabinet...

Thanks,
Andy
