Projected Nexus - Side of the CP art

The side of the control panel is three surfaces, half a hexagon if you will so it'll wrap around. Bottom is black, no one can see that really. Ships are originals from my story, modeled in Maya, then dumbed down and traced roughly in Illustrator.

It looks really nice. Why did you traced it back in Illustrator, because Maya is vector. Did you do a animation of the ships in Maya? If so, can we see it some where???

I'm actually working on some animations, but it's hard to find the time to get all the rest of this stuff done. I traced it so I could simplify it and get a little bit of a softer edge. Thanks for the comments.
