Troublesome Mame

Hi! ive just finished building my mame cabinet and now im onto setting up the software.  But mame wont open, it crashes (illegal operation..).  Am i missing anything?

Make sure you have the right version for your machine\operating system. (i.e. 32 bit\64 bit, etc.) I would suggest re-downloading. Also, try deleting the mame.ini file and Re-run mame.exe with the -cc switch. What version are you running, O/S, etc?

Hi Havok!

Im on windows 98.  Im not sure which to use, so i downloaded a couple.  None work! Which version should i be running?  Also, nesticle doesnt seem to want to work through mamewah.

I would try something simple first. Check out this site:

See if that works for you. As far as Mamewah goes - I don't use it, I'm an AtomicFE user. Sorry - can't help there...
