Does Gameex work with Mame.exe (command line) or do I need Mame32.exe (Windows)?

I'm pretty sure that Mame.exe is the preferred emulator for most (if not all) FE's, though Mame32 works with many.

I use it with the command line version of MAME.

The reason that I ask is because with mame.exe (v1.09) and Mala (v.1.0RC7A), my beloved Tempest does not work

It does, however, work with Mame32.exe (stand alone)

I have the latest (??) Tempest ROM from Mameroms.com
I don't run a lot of games, but this is an absolute must to play.

Umm, you might want to delete that website address, and I can tell you that the Rom version you have is not 109 - update your Rom another way...

Yes Mame32 works fine with GameEx. No worrys.

Going there (website) was an act of desperation to get Tempest running.
Working on v.1.09 now.
