Looks like I'll be moving to Phoenix...
« on: September 29, 2006, 05:27:36 am »
This is my last year in college...  I graduate in May with a BS in Aerospace Engineering.  So anyway, the company I worked for over the summer (Honeywell) called me up and made me a job offer.  I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take it...  now I gotta figure out where to live?  Any suggestions from people in the area?

Not from the area, so no help there, but congrats on the impending degree. A real accomplishment you can be proud of!

Depends what Honeywell location you'll be working at, but most are in the north or northwest valley, so look @ north phoenix or glendale... not the newest homes, but reasonably priced (my 1.5k sq ft. house w/ pool built in 1975 is work about $226k) or if you dont mind a REALLY long commute look @ the newer areas like avondale to the west or queen creek and maricopa to the southeast, either way you'd be looking at about an hour or more driving assuming no traffic (there is ALWAYS traffic here) to get to the honeywell locations I know of... either way, if you have ?? PM me... good luck!
