a Pinned Prime video setup FAQ/Video thread?

Long time lurker, who's been tied up building a diy projector and haven't begun a mamecab build yet. A DIY Projector forum that i frequent has threads pinned that try to give the latest consensus on products/setups that most agree as ideal at a given time. Perhaps it is easier to do in that type of project but i wondered if something similar could be done here?  It saves time for newbies wanting to find out what most Mamers are getting or shooting for (given available funds of course) to be able to go to a pinned thread that is updated occasionally when a new paradigm shift kind of product is found. Again, with mamecabs being so varied in both goals of building and products used.. .that maybe its just not that doable.

just an idea.  I seem to remember a particular arcade/computer monitor hybrid that was deemed as the "go to" of monitors if a person had the cash.  Just would like to see a aggregation of opinions that would bring out the "go to" at any particular time.  In the light gun category, the act labs gun was always the "top gun" but obviously it seems we have a new contender there, aptly named "top gun."

with the new ArcadeVGA version2 - i guess i wondered if anything had changed in the view of "best monitor" to get.
