LEDWiz and Mamewah

 ???

I remember a post answering this very question but I can't find it now.....
OK I have the LEDWiz all ready and working (in power mame)  But I want to start the bling bling when I start mamewah.  Can someone show me an example of the .ini where LEDWiz is activated?  I have an idea but it didn't work for me.

wildcatbeer,

I'm at work at the moment so I can't provide all the info you need but for starters you need mahutis led-wiz helper app from here :

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=55496.msg544702#msg544702

Worth reading the whole post.

As for what you need to put into mamewah, well, you need to edit the mamewah.ini file and find the bit that says something about "application to run on startup" and add the commands to start the ledwiz app (swiftled lledwiz), then the command to run a sequence (swiftled 3backsweep.lwa for example).

You also need to stop the ledwiz app BEFORE you run powermame as pmame will also want to run lighting sequences. You do this with the "pre-application" thing (sorry, not sure what its called at the moment) and run swiftled xledwiz.

You also need to restart the ledwiz app when exiting powermame.

I found a delay when switching the ledwiz app on and off but your experience may be different.

Good luck !

PS My cab is in bits at the moment as I'm fitting t-molding (yes I should have done that first !) so I can't check the exact settings - sorry.

PPS Let me know your version of mamewah as the latest beta version has some extra ini settings that were easier to understand than the current "live" version.

The ONLY way I have been able to do it is to set up MAME32 and once you have the LEDWiz set up there, launch PM32 from MAMEWah. Wonky, I know, but I can not get MW to make PM comand line work at all with the GGG stuff.  :hissy: It is why I am watching the development of Atomic Front End closely. Youki is activly working on LEDWiz usability.

I've been playing around with the beta of atomic and it seems to work great!  Game buttons light up showing what buttons are used.  Can do animated sequences etc.  Very easy to set up also.  From what I understand it will be released soon.
