hmm how can i explain this promblem???

ok,
well i have mala set as a shell when i start my cab everthing goes fine and dandy until mala come on the display(im using a wells and gardner u3100) so when it display the picture is really distorteted? so i unplug the moniter plug in a pc moniter and it gives me a out of sync error.
turn off the computer restart with the pc moniter and all works fine run explorer.exe go to desktop res is 640X480 plug in the u3100 works great..
restart with the u3100 then same promblem????distorted dislay i cant figuer out whats wrong?
please any help would be a great deal. i hope i explain my self clear enough also
