Mamewah resolution question
« on: September 07, 2006, 07:24:35 pm »
I have my cab running at 640 X 480 on a Sharp Television. I noticed that when starting up MameWah the screen flickers for a second as if the resolution has changed. This also occurs when starting a Mame game under MameWah; the screen flickers for a second before the game starts and also when returning back to MameWah and exiting the program. This is usually an indication that the resolution has changed. I am using a 640 X 480 layout so I don't understand why this is happening. Any ideas?

Check the colour depth and refresh rate of your layout are the same as your desktop.  Also, if you do not want Mame to switch resolution then set 'switchres 0' in \mame\mame.ini.
