just as the sub says i had it working before but i took it out ot try and use a different chassis in my cab cause the words just wernt as clear as i wanted them to be. but i had to put this one back in and now it wont stop vertically rolling. what will help this thing stop rolling.

UPDATE:
i got it to stop rolling and i am now using a 800x600 resolution to make text look better. Weird but is their something i can do to fix the almost what you get when you have the wrong resolution for mame but it is a workable resolution. word deteriation..i dunno how to explain it but would a cap kit help.

I've never worked on a Pentranic let alone any monitor above 27" in size.

Hi Ken/Guys, first off if it is a Pentranic Dual Res. it uses a CH288 chassis which is designed only for 15Khz (Standard Res) or 24Khz( mid Res).

So is this a new install to a different game??? Did the monitor ever work with a different ganme.

We may be facing a wiring problem.. or a separate/composite sync problem.

I can help with schematics, .....

please feel to conatct me ... I am new at the  forum so if I do answer, it is not that I am not listneing- I did not hear.

Feel free to conatcat me

I am new at the whole arcade monitor scene.  I recently acquired an arcade machine (street figher II I believe) that has a pentranic monitor with a CH288 board.  It looks like you have the same or very similar monitor configuration.

I bought an arcade VGA card as well as the VGA cable from ultimarc.  I'm now at the point of wanting to connect the computer to the arcade monitor.

The VGA cable I have is a VGA breakout cable that has a standard VGA connector on one end for my PC and then is stripped on the other end.  The stripped ends are R,G,B,V,H, and Ground.  The million dollar question here is where do I connect these 6 wires to my monitor?

I have downloaded a schemetic from the mfg website (see attached).  It looks like the connection point is on the circuit board on the 6 pronged plug marked R,G,B,GND,H/S, AND V around the middle of the schematic.  I followed those wires from the board and they lead up to the yoke on the monitor.

Assuming this is in fact where I'm supposed to connect my VGA cable, here are a couple of specific questions:

1 - The connector marked H/S - is that just the horizontal sync?
2 - The connector marked V - is that just the vertical sync?
3 - The ultimarc VGA card indicates it outputs 1V - will I need to do anything to boost the power to this monitor?
4 - What's the best method for connecting the VGA cable to the connector on the circuit board of the monitor?

Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated!
