Sega Outrun 2 is fun!
« on: September 05, 2006, 02:38:24 pm »
Fans of the original Outrun should try to find one of these. It plays very much like the original, but the graphics are really slick and realistic. As I said, gameplay is much the same, with the addition of 4 cars and a "power slide" for tight turns.
NO MORE!!

It sucks that I haven't been able to try this game.  We have a linked pair.  I was looking forward to "testing" them when they came off location.  But in a rare twist, they were picked up and immediately dropped off at their new location...150 miles from here.

Its available for XBox and PC, though I'm not sure how similar the port is.
I just picked up Outrun 2006 for the PSP, which includes the new game plus Outrun 2. Lots of fun and surprisingly good graphics for a handheld.

Always thought the XBox or PC version of this would be cool in a cab.

we have four linked in the arcade, its a great driving game and high money earner-only one drawback, the motherboard is already obsolete-i had the comms board go down and managed to buy one of the last available in the u.k and it cost about 250 dollars,ok i kept the machine running as 3 linked 1 stand alone but the game is much better linked

I love it in the Arcade.

I've got the PS2 version and run the PC version in my Cab, it handles pretty close to the arcade.

The coast to coast heart attack mode is pretty good. Once you get to the last girl, the missions are mad, like counting sheep and feeding the girl.

Great game.
Cheers Eric
