Monochrome monitor identification?
« on: September 05, 2006, 09:18:34 pm »
This isn't an arcade monitor, but I hope I can get some help none the less. I acquired this monitor from military surplus, and know little about it. It's monochrome and probably text-only, with a connector that resembles that of an SGI monitor, with the video pins(?) on either side of the 15 pins. This cable carries both the video signal and power, there is no external power cable. Mounted inside the monitor is a speaker. Being a military monitor and all, the thing is welded shut and weather sealed, so it's hard to take the shell off to get a good look at where the wires are going. It's branded Unisys but I can't find any model numbers.

Anyone know about these kinds of monitors? I'd like to use it for something, even though I doubt it can display graphics modes... maybe I can make a text adventure arcade cab.

Pictures are of connector, screen when computer is booted up, screen when reset button is held down, and view inside the hatch of the wires connected to circuit board.
