BilLabs BL27CB0P in a Candy cabinet
« on: September 05, 2006, 01:41:26 pm »
does anyone have any experience in fitting a BilLabs BL27CB0P into a super neo 29 candy cabinet. I think it should fit based on the measurements. I just wanted to know if new holes needed to be drilled or if the bezel fits properly since th billabs is a flat screen.
I don't know if you know this but I'm sort of a big deal. I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Most 27" monitors have the same mounting bracket dimensions.  I put a Betson Imperial 27" into my Super Neo 29 cabinet, the only change I had to make was to file the holes in the Betson mounting bracket a bit - the factory Super Neo 29 monitor bracket has the holes a bit farther in one direction (can't remember offhand if it was in or out) than the standard.  Wasn't much...  Maybe 1/4-1/2" overall between the two sides.

The bezel fit with the Betson, but I had to remove the little foam bit.  Betson's not a flat screen, but flatter than the original monitor.  If the BilLabs is an actual flat screen, I would assume the bezel wouldn't work without modification, since the bezel itself is shaped to a curved screen in the area it makes contact.
