Wussup everyone,

I want to use a TV for my mame cabinet.
What are the few ways you guys recommend.
I know the video with S-video output.
Is there any other way to hook up a TV to the pc?

Thanks

If you are European then the chances are you have a Scart socket on your TV...if so, then you can use the ArcadeVGA card from www.ultimarc.com to output in RGB.  This looks totally autentic (see some other posts in this section on the topic).

If you are in the US then you are out of luck...I believe the only 'easy' way to hook up your TV is via S-Video (or composite) TV-Out.

Not to jump on you, but try to name your threads better, this title won't help out anyone looking for similar information after you are done with it.

Check out this thread among many others that already talk about this:

In addition to composite, and s-video, you could buy a TV with component inputs.  This is probably the next best thing to an RGB input.  It is hard to find a 25" TV with S-Video, so I doubt you will find one with component inputs.  I am considering getting a 27" JVC for about $300 from Circuit City or Best Buy.  Then you need an ATI Radeon 8500 or higher video card and a special adapter from ATI.  That will probably be another $150 for the two.

For a serious cabinet I think the Component is worth the extra money.  The only problem is that I will go broke if I do everthing the way I think it should be done...
