Happ VISION PRO monitor problems
« on: August 28, 2006, 03:54:10 am »
I took adavantage of HAPP'S free shipping and bought 20 or more 19" vision pro monitors.  I've had 6 of them die on me out of 15 so far!  They fire up and look great, some last a few hours, some last a few days.  What the heck is going on?  The picture will simply just go out on the tube.  I shipped backed 3 chassies and HAPP fixed and returned. 2 worked fine, the third one just died on a fellow who bought a machine from me the same way!  This is frustrating.  All are being put into jamma cabinets.  Only 1 had a smell of any kind and that was because one of the little black wires that runs from the chassis to the mounting hole on the side was laying against what i think is a heat sync.  It melted through and shorted out.  None of the others have had any signs of failure, they simply go BLANK with no glow in the flyback.  IS THIS just a bad batch ?  Any thoughts or ideas ?  Thanks.

buying that quantity happ should give you good back up,first thing i would do is find out the faults on the one's repaired by happ,do they need isolation transformers?,could it be a bad batch-its possible.get in contact with happ and find out if its a common fault then you can find the common cause
