Asteroids G05 Monitor help

I had just acquired a decent conditioned Asteroids upright cab and i am in the process of refurbishing it.
Right now, i'm working on trying to get the monitor to work again. I'm doing the standard of
replacing all the caps and transistors on the regulator and deflection boards.

I ran into a problem when i tested one of the 1 Watt resistors on the regulator board as i decided to check
the resistors as well. The majority were all fine except for one at location R104 which according
to my Digital Multi-Meter, is blown. Now i could normally replace it by following the color bands on
the resistor itself, but it is soo old, most of the colors have faded. I've found a few schematics of
the location of it, but the scans are not all that great and the value is unreadable. Doing a search
here and on google didn't really pull up any info i hadn't come across already.

So if anyone knows what value is needed for this location, please let me know. The information
i've been able to gather so far is:

Location: R104
Watts: 1 Watt

4-Band Resistor Color Code:
1. Orange/Brown? Faded
2. Green
3. Faded?
4. Gold


Oh, and the main problem the monitor shows is a single horizontal vector line in the middle of the screen. So i figured doing the standard cap/transistor swap might fix that problem as i've read in the majority of the faqs on vector monitors.

I could post a picture of the resistor in question, but not sure how much that would help as again, the color bands are faded. If anyone wants a pic, let me know.

Is it an G05- 801, 802, 805 ... ?

Be sure to check the signal voltage coming from the game pcb itself also.
And ALL transistors on the monitor boards.

Cool, thanks for the info. I've found similar schematics for the monitor, but i could only read the value as 1R5.

huh .... yeah, that one says that too. (1R5) Yet it is very ledgible and obvious as to what it says. 
I didn't even look at the schematic portion for it, I just went straight to the parts "list".
Seems like I had seen something else written that way before, but can't recall now what it was or what it meant.

I like them vector monitors now. My first one was a G05-802 from an Asteroids Deluxe.
And I swear the entire machine had been submerged under water and then turned on. Eveything possible was wrong with it. Fun little project.

Thanks Keven. I'll definitly update this thread, or actually i'll probably start a new one in the projects board. It's going to need some decent work as far as cosmetics go. I'm trying to work on repairing the internal electronics first before i get to the outside work on the cab. Going to need some bondo in several places on the side, new side art, new cpo, new leaf switch buttons, new bezel, and completly new back door. Seems the door was off this machine and sitting in water as it's all warped and bloated.

Atleast it's structurly sound and the marquee is in excellent condition, hehe. It wasn't too bad of a find for $30 bucks.

Well, if it makes ya feel any better.... my Asteroids Deluxe is still waiting for a new cabinet.
Yeah, the whole dang thing.
I swear it came from the bottom of a pond, and the last time I moved it the bottom fell out, one side about came off, the coin door looks like it's been pryed open, the control panel looks like someone took a sledgehammer to it, yeah, she's a beauty all right.

But by god it WORKS 100% now.

After fixing the game pcb, power supply, replacing the speaker and repairing the monitor of course.

But at least let us know how the monitor issues go for ya on this thread.
