Makvision Monitors?
« on: August 24, 2006, 09:09:14 am »
I have found a 27" standard res arcade monitor for 200 plus 117 ship. Total 317.00
That doesnt sound to bad of a deal. The seller said that it is a Mackvision monitor. Has anybody had any expierence with these? I want something with very good screen geometry, which is my main concern. Ken have you ever used/seen one of these monitors in action?

Yes, Makvision and Pentranic merged a while back. I kinda put them in the same category as Ducksan monitors: bottom of the barrel.

i have 3 makview monitors .. one working in my centipede  its not horrible but i did have to cut the chassis down to fit.   The price was right on the ones I picked up (next to free) my big  :censored:  problem is 2 of them have blown flybacks... and I have called them a few times for parts, they just say that they don't have parts and don't know who or where to get them.....

last one i get unless its free

That's what I've heard from other people too. Makvision and Pentranic both have terrible product support. They're of the "did we make that?" camp.
