First Farscape, now the original Stargate: SG1 series?
I mean come on! You just went all out to celebrate the 200th episode, Sci-Fi! As soon as you earn the title and bragging rights of having the longest running sci-fi show in history, you then decide to scrap it and cancel the show?? Is the network that cheap? Stop churning out the horrible B-movies every Saturday night and invest the money into the shows the viewers love!
But seriously...did the network not learn from Farscape? The fans protested for more then a year, and ultimately, succeeded in getting the network to do a TV movie to wrap up the story line. Stargate is much more popular in terms of viewers. Those views are well aware of the Farscape model....guess whats going to happen again?
And why would you want to cancel the original series when MGM is finally making a true sequel to the original feature film? You're not generating good PR and you're losing viewers who would have seen either.
Stupid...stupid SciFi channel.
I'm counting the days until Battlestar Galactica gets cancelled, despite all the awards and critical acclaim.
