Drinking Dr Pepper pays off....
« on: August 21, 2006, 02:24:52 pm »
I've been a lifelong Dr Pepper drinker....so much that my kidneys will probably give me hell in my old age.. lol.   But today, it's finally paid off!  For the past month, I've been playing the code game that's been going on for 1 of 23 Humvee's or hundreds of PSP's...   I just won one of the PSP's (wouldn't want the Humvee.. couldn't afford the taxes OR the gas.. lol)

I should see it within the next 10 - 12 weeks....

That's doesn't make drinking Dr. Pepper anything like worth it.  :P

Also, you could sell the Humvee.   Don't give up.

Have you ever had the "Real" Dr. Pepper?

http://www.dublindrpepper.com/

They still make it with the original Pure Cane Sugar formula as opposed to corn syrup. They have been making it there since 1891.

If you haven't tried it, DO. It's YUMMY.

Congrats!  Here I was entering Coke caps to try and get a free PSP, and when I got to 800 points of the 1450 needed they sold out of them.  From what I understand they got more in a couple times, but they sell out in a few hours because now some people have thousands of points.  I ended up getting a PS2 and selling it for $100 the day after it arrived, so I guess I can't complain.  Im back up to about 1300 points now, but most of the prizes left suck.

I second the thumbs up for the real sugar Dr. Pepper!  It's been over a year since I last had some.  The only bad part is that depending on where you live shipping costs more than the pop!

It's pretty much the same way with Coca-Cola, from what I've gathered.  Used to be made with sugar, then gradually changed the formula to the "New" coke... then renamed the original "Classic" and still gradually changed it to the "New" coke with the "Classic" name....  either way, I'm not big on CC.  (However, IF they ever go back to using Coca leaves, let me know.. ;) )

Coca-Cola made with pure cane sugar can still be purchased down here in LA.

It's the stuff that's bottled in Mexico and sold in the tall, 16oz glass bottles. The only place i've ever seen it is in Mexican grocery stores and off those "roach coaches". It too is noticeably better.

Cool.  Have fun with it!

I prefer "Tab" myself but the good doctor is nice once in a while!  :)

Keep the Dr. Pepper faith brother, I've 'weened' myself down to a can a day...from 4 or 5.  Damn, that stuff is nectar of the gods.   :applaud:

Congrats on the PSP.  Are the earbuds both working?   ;)

To tell you the truth, I haven't even taken the buds out of the box (neither has the wife with hers).  They MIGHT be working, but then again, they might not.. lol
