« on: August 15, 2006, 01:07:54 pm »
My monitor will be 24.5 inches wide its a 29" billabs monitor. My question is to account for spacing for Bezel from happs and maybe those led stands that the topgun guns use how wide should i make my cab? 26" 25" .....

Well, you can trim the bezel to the exact size that you want so I don't think that should matter...  Not sure about the gun though.  For the overall cab width, I'm planning on adding 1-1/2" to the monitor width to account for the thickness of two pieces of plywood... and that's it.  If someone thinks differently I'd love to hear why...

Don't know about the guns / led stands, but as my 21" TV's width is exactly 59,6cm I'm going to build  a cab that's 60 centimeters (23.62") wide... measured inside .. just add 2x16 millimeters (32mm = 1.26") to the overall (outside) width..  So, in the end the cab's width will  be 63,2 centimeters (24,88")..

The width of the cab would also depend upon how you plan on mounting the monitor. Depending on the brackets or whatever you plan on using will add to the thickness of your plywood.

Incidentally the Happ 27'' bezel flat (happ part number 49-1857-00) is exactly 25 1/2'' wide and 23 3/4'' high if you wanted to make the openning exat without any cutting. This bezel fits the billabs BL27CB0P beautifully.

LCD Top Gun stands are exactly 5/8th of an inch wide.
$6.75 the hard way-one quarter at a time.
