High score doesn't save on Xevious machine
« on: August 14, 2006, 09:29:54 am »
I recently repaired a Xeviouys machine and it is working well now. However, the high score resets itself every time the machine is powered down. Is there a setting somewhere to save it or a battery that I'm missing? Perhaps a bad RAM chip?

Xevious doesn't save high scores.  Check out this link if you want to modify your game board.  All it requires is a new Rom burned and a Ram chip with a battery save.

Thanks Rocky. You are correct of course. I guess I just got spoiled on MAME saving high scores for all games and assumed they all did in their original forms too. I'm considering the add-on chip at $45.
