another arcadeos problem
« on: August 12, 2006, 11:30:04 am »
Hi all. I'm trying to set up the software for a bartop, and I'm using arcadeos 2.52 along with mame086, but after arcadeos loads it doesn't show any of the roms I've put in the roms folder. I tried searching the boards and found that I needed xml2info in the same directory of the mame folder, but after I put one in the same thing occured. I found that other people were using Advancemame with arcadeos, is this necessary? Or is there a setting I need to enable in arcadeos?

First, delete all *.lst and *.rm* files in the ArcadeOS directory.  Then try again.

Still nothing?  Delete them again, and this time go into arcadeos.cfg and change legacygen from whatever it is now to it's opposite, and try running it again.

I will try that. At the moment, the computer for the cab is disassembled and waiting to be installed, so it may be a while.
