Mamewah Help. Completely lost :(
« on: August 11, 2006, 08:09:51 pm »
I've downloaded the newest version of mamewah and have successfully installed it, even ran the games. However I would like to categorize my games. I've downloaded catver.ini but I can't seem to get it to work with mamewah. Where to I set this file up at? How do I get it to work with mamewah? I've tried several things that I've found on google but nothing seems to help. Frustrated. Please help.

I wrote a PHP script that takes the xml file outputted by Mame .107 and the catver.ini and creates the .lst and .ini files needed for all the different categories. I used PHP cause of the built in XML parser and it's ease of use. What this doesn't do is check to see if you actually have those roms or not. I have no idea how to share this program with others though. I'm thinking of just zipping up the .lst and .ini files and just posting them when a new Mame or Catver.ini comes out. Sorry to jack your thread. :)

EDIT: Posted on the software board.
