Metropolis Cabinet WIP Pictures finally up!
« on: August 11, 2006, 03:26:40 am »
So, after hours of awesome work in the high Georgia heat, some of my arcade cabinet is beginning to take form.  As promised I have pictures and will be posting more as I make more progress.  Here are my first pics though!

The cabinet is going to be completly modular.  It will be 3 pieces, the bottom, the top and the control panal.  The botom part will have a shelf in order for the TV to sit on.  Then the top part will go on top of that, held stableby some securing screws that are easily removable and insertible.  The two midrange speakers will be on the top with an outside subwoofer (I'm debating still putting it in the cab).

We've kind of been making measurements as we go, but I will try and have some plans once I finish!

The last 2 images are what we will be using as jigs to make the control panals

Obligatory "You've got too much space between the buttons" post...

Otherwise, looking great so far. Keep the posts coming!

Yeah, that board is a prototye to see how the configuraton would work and how it would all interface with my computer.  I would go insane playing with how far apart those buttons are.
One thing though, how do I shrink the images and throw them on the bottom of the post?  I've seen ut dont in other threads, but I didnt see the option for it, nor do I know the code :/

Compress or resize your images so they're under 512kb each, then add them as attachments to your post (when making a new post or modifying an existing post, click  "Additional Options" and the attachment options will drop down). Once a jpg, gif or png is attached to a post, the forum software will automatically resize them and put the smaller versions at the bottom of the post. You can add 3 files per post.

under the area where you type the message in, there is an "Additional Options" link... click it and you should see the "Attach:" area  ;)
