I was reading a post about placement of speakers inside your cab and how they should be at least 1 foot away from your monitor because of the magnet, what about your hardrive is it the same as it also has a magnet

in the early days(area 51) we used to mount hardrives on rubber mountings as far away from any high magnetic or power source as possible,i would imagine that as the technology has not changed that much then it would be sensible to do the same
