The Marine movie
« on: August 04, 2006, 06:48:43 pm »
A friend of mine directed his first feature film last year and it looks like it is finally coming to theaters in October. He had a $15 million dollar budget to shoot a $30 million dollar movie. And spent half of that just on the pyrotechnics ;-)

Anyway - check it out here: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/themarine.html

Looks like it'll be a pretty good action flick.

Obviously the most unbelievable part of that whole flick is the gas being $1.74 per gallon at that gas station at the start there.
$6.75 the hard way-one quarter at a time.

If that's changed by the time the movie is released, you deserve some cash for your proofing skillz.

Everyone knows this is a WWE Films movie, right? I am a huge wrestling fan myself, but knowing that is enough for me to know it is probably going to be a crappy flick.

I'll watch it expecting to see crappy acting, good explosions and hot women in skimpy clothes.

Movie watching is all about going in with the proper expectations.

The gas station that explodes in the trailer is named after our boss here at our day job ;-)

It was shot in Australia so that might explain the cost of gas?
