Sony Trinitron KV-25XBR to monitor out
« on: August 02, 2006, 11:28:18 am »
I have two of these TV's (sony KV-25XBR ) and on the back is an  RGB multi input that looks like a floppy drive ribbon cable connector.  Has anyone sucessfully made a cable to connect this to the monitor out DB15 on a PC? and how was the quality?   Thanks

Should be similar to scart tvs, which is pretty much what you get on an arcade monitor.

You will most likley need to pull the blanking input high, and perhaps the RGB/normal select.

Pinout is here that I found. http://www.hardwarebook.net/connector/av/sonyrgbmulti.html - I recall seeing this connector a long time ago on a TV and not really thinking much of it.
