Good lord this should be easy right? Not exactly.

I just got this bad boy in last night. I hooked everything up to it "PC, USB Powered Hub, Sub Woofer, TV" and AFTER reading the directions I plugged it into the outlet and the marquee and other items kept comming on and going off on their own. No big deal...I adjusted the sensitivity and everything stayed off. Hit the power button on my control panle that is plugged directly into the motherboard and viola....I hear the sub power up with a "phump" the marquee came on and of course the PC fired up. At this point I'm thinking I'm golden. WRONG. The TV won't come on. I played with the sensitivity setting on the strip "hoping" that was it. No. I removed all plugs EXCEPT the TV. Tried it again no luck. The power will blip on the TV but then goes off. SO I dismantled my arcade thinking that maybe instead of me using the remote to turn the TV on I had to start off with depressing the actual power button. Dismantled means removing the marquee, the speaker plate, my 4 player control panel so I can then slide the bezel I made out to get to the power button "good times". That effort failed as well. I went bitsmarts site and read all the support files I could. No luck. I read up on these units and they list that it works with "All home audio items and accessories." "Works with HDTV
I called their support this morning and was told that people should use their TV as the power on unit not anything else because the TV's won't power on as a switched unit. WHAT??? After I TOLD THEM EXACTLY what I was using this for and a "aboslutely it'll work no problem" and now being told this? Um ....is that false advertising?

The gentleman said that I could return this for a refund OR about a year ago he dealt with a person on this same issue and the customer found the relay on the TV's main board and "jumped it - hard wired - what ever" and that was certainly an option for me to do.
God help me if anyone in this world could sell me something and it works as promised let alone deliver it on time ---- ok sorry I'm rambling ---- really people deliver what you promise!
I am NOT mr circuit board savvy .... I just wanted to add that part.
SO my fellow nostalgia lovers I ask if anyone can provide any useful help. I have a Samsung 27" flat screen CRT TV model number TXL2791F "also listed as a TXL2791FX/XAA"
Thanks for listening and thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions.
(ANSWER) - Push the TV button in, stick a sharp knife in between the TV housing and the power button giving a very light twist. Then JAM a couple of tooth picks in there to keep the damn TV power button on. SOLVED with my good ole farmer background know how. Dumb? Yeah. Crude? Yeah. Does it work HELL YES IT DOES WOO HOO
