Looking for the REAL Super Mario Bros. 2
« on: July 20, 2006, 12:06:20 pm »
Does anyone know the file name of the zip for Super Mario Bros. 2 (the one released in Japan only a.k.a. The Lost Levels)?  I'm looking for the NES/Famicom version to play on my PSP.  I have a complete gameset but all the files labeled smb2.zip and the like are for the Doki Doki Panic version...

THANKS!!

this isnt exactly what your looking for but you could always use the super nintendo rom for super mario all stars it had the lost levels and works on the psp
I don't know if you know this but I'm sort of a big deal. I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

I know but for some reason side-scrolling SNES games don't run at the proper framerate or something.  It doesn't feel quite right.

SMB2, IIRC, was released as an FDS game. The only cartridge rom dump would be an FDS hack, probably "Super Mario Bros. 2 (J) (FDS Hack).nes" (goodnes). Otherwise you'll need the FDS rom and an emulator that supports FDS.
