t-molding fiasco
soulblazer28:
I think I backed myself into a corner here..
I really had my heart set on the light blue t-molding from t-molding.com, so I designed the overlays and the overall theme with this in mind. Just as I was going to place my order...
Ok well it seems that the light blue t-molding is only available in 3/4" size. My cab is 3/4" MDF alright, but the control panel top was made from 1/2" MDF plus plexi, I need 5/8" molding for that! I looked high and low and no one else seems to sell the light blue, much less in the 5/8" size.
So what am I to do? Trimming the excess sounds sloppy. Good thing I haven't painted anything so I COULD change my color scheme but I'll take that as a last resort.
I doubt anyone was this careless to have gone through this. :banghead:

Get 1/4" Plexi

Im kinda in the same boat as you. I build my breatime racing cabinet out of 5/8. I'd like to use xbox green t-molding....but in 5/8 size all I cant find is black white and red. Wish you luck..maybe someone here cant point us to more colors of 5/8.

http://www.t-mold.com carries light blue in 5/8", though they tried some cheap underhanded advertising here once, so I do hate to recommend them.

I DO NOT recomend buying their t molding. I purchased a 250' roll of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. :banghead: The tmolding from them is slightly smaller than the 3/4" wood, so it tends to look ugly on some cabs. :soapbox:
Instead, make your purchases from www.tmolding.com , as their t moulding is slightly wider, giving a better appearance to your cab, and they will send you some free 6" samples, and mail them for free, so you can decide what you like best :applaud:
