Odd video "problem" (not really.. but... read on)
« on: July 09, 2006, 08:57:47 pm »
I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Fighting Game engine "MUGEN", but I was looking at my MAME cab and thought, "You know what... MUGEN would probably work great here".  So I installed MUGEN on my MAME computer and it runs fine, but the video is a bit jittery, just like WindowsXP is.

Is there any specific resolution I can use to make the video stable?  The game is not unplayable, it just hurts the eyes after a while.  There is an option in the MUGEN.cfg file to change resolutions and I can do it there, no problem - but my dilemma is which one to use so that the video for the program is no longer jittery.

Anyone have an idea?

I use AdvanceMAME which allows you to change the resolution "In game".  I sometimes have to do this with Kung Fu Master.  Play around with several and see which works best for you.
Capcom Bowling, Star Wars (Cockpit), Karate Champ, MAME (Vertical)
