Ultimarc Console Adaptors
« on: July 05, 2006, 09:17:30 pm »
I bought the xbox console adaptor.

Well my question is if I buy the ps2 adaptor, can I splice the wires for the monitor (making it look like a 'Y' for each wire) and connect one wire to the appropriate video connects for the xbox video and so forth for the ps2 video.

Not sure if it would damage the monitor or if it sends signals when not in use.  And yes when one is on, the other on would not be on.

Someone had suggested a KVm switch but the connectors do not allow that type of connection.  The end of the xbox video is five screw pins and not an actual video (monitor) connector.  And my monitor 19in Happs Vision (CGA) only has five/six wires that connect to the screw pins.

Let me know what you guys think, thx!!

HOw do you guys have your consoles wired

If you cant do it directly you certainly could with a data switch like a serial switch (DB9).
