D-Pad not working....

Hey guys.. pretty new here. I can't get the D Pad on my Logitech Dual Action controller to work. I have mamewah and the command line of mame, and a version of mame 32 with the integrated frontend. The mame32 recognizes the analog controls fine, but mamewah wont let me do too much (no up?). Neither of them will let me use the D PAd... help?

do you have the joystick enabled in your mame.ini file
