Project CP-makeover!
« on: June 30, 2006, 06:04:14 am »
Hey BYOAC!

Im currently rebuilding my CP on my current cab, which can be viewed here: http://home.no.net/eyeboard/arcade/33.jpg

As you can se, its a pretty standard 2p setup with 6buttons. The top 6 buttons is for coin, start, pause and escape.

My list of todo is so far:
  • Add two trackballs
  • Add flipper buttons
  • Paint monitor-plastic black
  • Add 3 buttons for each trackball.
  • Rebuild CP, so its kinda modular

Since the current CP is a part of the supporting walls fo the cab, I have some serious issues on how to rebuild this thing.

Here is the cab stripped down pretty much. Dont bother removing the speakers since they are not in the way.

The monitor. If I only knew how easy it was to remove that darn plastic  :hissy:

Dont have much room for rebuilding this thing. The cab was built in the same amount of space. Measuring done inside, cutting also done inside :/

Not the nicest cut, but since my father doesnt have crap for tools, it will have to do.

Starting to look like something!

And it is supporting itself! Horray!

Adding one of these on each side make the CP ROCK solid!  :tool:

Adding the top-plate for the CP, also hand-draw a net of lines!  :applaud:

Testing some hand-made layout sketches. Works okey, but the prints didnt keep the correct aspect ratio, to bad  :badmood: But they where useable.

Oh crap! While cutting the holes the tool got very hot and did some wierd things to my CP :(   :censored: :dizzy:

But it seems Im going to save it from its death!

This is all for now! A new update over the weekend :) Cheers!
