That image isn't really high enough quality to do anything with.  If you could find a high enough quality image, I'd be willing to take a shot at vectorizing it.  Project's been on hold for awhile (wedding, honeymoon, surgery - busy year), but I'm working on vectorizing the CPO for the Satan's Hollow I'm restoring.  I've not been able to find a good image of the handle insert, either and was planning on making a temporary insert using the image of the skull from the CP...  If you like, I could provide you with that graphic so you could do the same until a real insert graphic could be produced...
