W/G 25" weird green lines
« on: June 22, 2006, 06:55:41 pm »
Hi Guys,  I have a MKII with a W/G 25K7197, with a Philips Mo8X CRT.
It has faint green horizontal lines sweeping through the screen that slope slightly, & are about 1 1/4" apart, top to bottom.   They don't adjust out, & I am not sure what to look for.  I have the service manual for it, But was hoping someone might be able to help me locate the problem.

Thanks, Carl

Turn the "screen" control on the flyback down slightly (counterclockwise).

You Got it!   Thanks, That was quick!

Do you know if there is a horizontal position adjustment on these?
Seems the image is about 1" from the top & all I have is a horizontal
size adjustment.  I basically adjust the size until the bottom is correct, but
it leaves the image 1" low on the top.

Thanks again,  I now have a nice bright picture on a black screen!
No green lines

An MKII is a horizontally mounted monitor..... so are actually asking about a "vertical adjustment" since you need to move or resize the picture up and down?

Sorry, your right.  It has horizontal size & position adjustments But only verticle size.  So I don't seem to have a way to change verticle position.

Do you have the manual? (K7000)
Does your monitor have the remote adjustment board?

Those generally have a vertical raster position pot on the back of the chassis along with the others or a vertical pos on the remote board.

You may need to find the transistor Q9 on the chassis and check it.
