z26, using Midway 49 ways, and video settings.
« on: June 19, 2006, 03:55:07 am »
I read the manual, and I have a few issues with the z26.cli file.  I did get it to recognize the controller.  In Yars Revenge, the spinners work for X and Y axis.  When playing Super Breakout, the spinners don't work, and player two has to use the Y axis on player 1's 49 way to move left and right.  I can't figure out what to input to get z26 to find the spinners or the second player's joystick.

Second, I am using component video, and I can't get it to go full screen or refresh at 30hz.  Any ideas fellas?  Here is my z26.cli file and what each command does:

-v0                    this is the video mode 400x300 (default)
-r30                  run at N frames per second
-)CCJS              Left Port joystick
-(CCJS              Right port joystick
-m101               Mouse to represent both x and y paddles and what port (-m1xy)
-n                     show scanline count and fps on game display(not working)

The entire emulator and support files can be downloaded here:
http://www.emuchrist.org/cpviewer/downloads/z26ini.zip

The instructions I'm using are in the .pdf file in the docs folder.

Okay, with the above settings, both joysticks work.  In Frogger, both joysticks work for the according player.  I just don't understand the video issues or the spinner problems with Breakout, Super Breakout, and Warlords(These are the three paddle games I've tried).

Thank you for providing the link.  Just one question.  Is the software version in the link you provided have the ability to use IPAC on MAME?  I want to do away with the atari console and use the Atari ROMs on the PC with IPAC with the z26 emulator.

I did a search and many if not all the links provided in the post are outdated or dead links. I was surprised to see yours.  I will try to get some work going next week or so.
