i i have a dreamcast and the games but is there a emulater that will run the game disc for xp?
so i could play them on my cabinet?
i found a few emulators and so on but they all need bios...I'm not to sure where to start....any help would be greatly appreciated....

Chankast is the only real working emulator out there but it still has limited compatability. However it does play some games rather well. A search on chankast compatability will get you to some pretty complete lists as far as what works and what does not.
As far as the images go, I do not think that it will work with store bought games because the are GD-Roms not CD-Roms and your drive will not read them. So you will have to find rips of the game "that you already own"
in order to play them on your pc.
If I am wrong please feel free to correct me on this one.

There is a plug'n play module for Chankast available for AtomicFE , if you want try that emulator without spending to much time to configure it.
I don' think the module can read directly CD , you will have to use a CD Image, i think.
