Video Game Detox Center Opens in Amsterdam

offering in-house treatment for people who can't leave their joysticks alone

I saw this and I thought it was nonsense.  I enjoy playing video games, but I don't think they're addictive.  I don't have to play games and I've gone months without playing.

And then I realized that's what crack heads and alcoholics say, so it got me thinking... what if I am video game junkie?

I figure this is the best place to ask if people can become video game junkies.

MMORPGs are pretty damn addictive, which is what I'm sure this center is for.

Actually, they're right.

Having fun IS addictive.

Just be careful, MAME can lead to more serious drugs addictions like XBOX, PS2 and PSP's  ;D
Vids:  Home built MAME machine, Crystal Castles. Arkanoid
Pins:   Williams Aztec (working). Stern Nugent (not working...yet), Williams Phoenix (major not working, missing parts.... )

Always on the lookout for buying 90's game with Ramps that need work...

my addiction is BYOAC

Actually building your own arcade controller, or reading/posting to the BYOAC forum?

I haven't touched my cabinet in 2 years and I don't have any urges to work on it(although I still buy parts for it).
Even though I'm not looking for advice for my cabinet, I can't ignore this forum.
