just a attempt at creating a little different cocktail overlay - pm if you need uncompressed format or AI file.  Thanks.

Welcome, thanks for posting.  Don't know if you're looking for feedback but here's some for free.

The composition is muddled.  You've mixed multiple artisitic drawn styles on an unrelated photorealistic background.  Some characters cover others in way that accentuates the "clip-art" feel rather than create a collage feel.  If everything was put on a black background, redrawn in the same style, and arrange more cleanly I think you might be onto something.

Le Chuck - Thank you for the comments - and by looking at some of your links I know that you know what you are talking about - and I appreciate the feedback.

This was a first attempt and I actually had the background set as black to begin with but felt as though it needed something to fill the "empty space".  I just finished up building my first cocktail cab for my son and still feeling my way through all of these things.

More than anything the attempt was to provide a starting point for someone else that might not want the "MAME Arcade Emulator" overlays that are out there but still captured some of the characters from games past.

By the way - your site and graphics are great.  Thanks

Thanks for the kudos, I think there are some good ideas in the overlay - maybe focus on the really early stuff using bold colors and simple shapes that it could have a really nice appearance.  Stick with it!
