DVI - Component adapters: alternative to ATI's??

I saw this on ebay, and at $9 +/- is a very affordable alternative to ATI's $30 + part.  Anyone ever try thiese?

Well I bit and bought one, he has more auctions for the same item still. 

Only thing is, I cant really test it since I havent officially decided on what monitor or tv  I am going to get.  I am currently using a normal 19" VGA monitor, but have been toying with the idea of getting a 25" +/- tv, cant quite get myself to go for the WG 9200.

NOTE: This adapter won't work on Nvidia FX line (5200, 5500, 5550, 5700, 5800 or 5900 series)

I bought one of these from the same seller about 2 weeks ago and works beautifully! I got my cab running a 9800 pro with the component out to a 27" JVC (only 480i max) but the picture is awesome. Windows desktop flickers a bit, but mame and other emulators dont. The only problem I had was to go into my televisions service mode and set the horizontal stretch becuase it clipped a bit of it out. Definatly worth the price compared to the ati version.

I had the same results using this adapter with an ATI9550 and a JVC 27". Screen flickers in windows, but is better in Mame. I get a little flickering in the frontend using Atomic FE. It did take a couple of evenings to get everything set up right between the ATI software configurations and the JVC service menu adjustments. Prepare for a little work but the results are good for a TV.
