i havent stopped at one yet but i have an ad for ebgames that a friend picked up at the ebgames in woodbridge mall. though if your interested id call first to see if any are left and if they are honoring the offer.

Ok, so then the sale doesn't start untill next week. The guy at my local EB said that they weren't supposed to have the flyers out yet. Thanks for the heads up. They have two copies at the store near me normally priced at $59.99 so if they are on sale for $25 bucks then that is a pretty good deal. I'm tempted to buy another copy even though I allready have two copies of Time Crisis 3 and two light guns.

It be helpful to , if you can, buy 2 sets and maybe sell it in BST in case someone cant find a store more local that has it/them.

I picked up a set of these today for the $25 advertised. Not a bad deal at all, I'm really having some fun with it. Plus it comes with 2 video passthrough cables, so I can let my girlfriend take a guncon if she wants and still use mine.

Now to find some more guncon games....

Okay just got a set of the guns today. I havent opened them but I did notice on the back and a pic from ebay that these guns use a there own cables to connect. My playstation is connected to a Ultimarc console adaptor.

I am using a Happs Vision Pro monitor (CGA)

Will the games work without the gamecon adaptor?

Do the wireless work better and the adaptor would not be an issue?

The gun won't work unless you connect it using the cables provided. The cable is a passthrough for the video cable (yellow composite wire). I'm not sure if you'll be able to use them with your console adapter as IIRC, they get rid of the composite cables to connect to the arcade monitor.

Without the passthrough, the gun can't register where you shoot on the screen, so you might be out of luck with the arcade monitor.

Darn, is the wireless the same?

What is a good ps2 gun that will work on an arcade monitor? Will a usb lightgun work? Ie the one buy actlabs?

I was thinking abot the topgun but the issue would be the led bars... mounting it. Has anyone ever mounted them around the monitor then used tinted plexi to cover it? Not even sure if that would work?

You should be able to hack the Yellow Cable to the Composite SYNC on the ultimarc adapter to get it to work. You should email Andy at Ultimarc and see if you can get him to give you more details on what to do. It has been done before when people were trying to use Smog's Guncon drivers to use the goncons on their PC's with an arcade monitor.

Nope, GunCons only work on standard def CRT displays.

They had some pretty nice accuracy, but as far as screen compatibility goes, the guncons are some of the worst guns I have ever used.

There has always been the warning that lightguns won't work with rear projection (and other non-CRT displays), but the guncons are literally the only ones I have ever owned that REALLY did not work with it.

i havent got the chance to get them but i will today if i can get a ride. glad to know some good came from getting an ad before they were supposed to be released.

rememeber you can connect 2 ps2s for 2 player on sep tvs. so lets see some dedicated cabs.

i got the ebgames one but i also noticed the googlecheckout offer and then i saw it was for the first 1000. that and i dont have a credit card so i cant really order. shame i wanted escaflowne and red spectacles.
